“Everyone thinks they know how to buy a wedding gown. What most women don’t realize is fabrics, style and measurements can influence the style of wedding dress that best compliments a particular body type.

a. Full figured women

If you are a full figured woman the best silhouette is an A- Line. A-line lengthens the whole body without drawing attention to your waistline. The empire waist is another good choice. The empire is narrowest just below the bust and conceals your waist and hips.

Many plus size girls tend to purchase wedding gowns that cover a lot of skin. If religion isn’t an issue don’t be afraid to show some skin. Skin is sexy and showing your arms and neckline can often make one appear smaller.

Deep V necks and scoop necks flatter curvy figures and always look best on full figured women.

b. Petite

A-line wedding dresses are also flattering on a petite woman. As we stated earlier it lengthens the body. Sheaths seem to shorten a small body even more. Stay clear of very full skirts. You want to keep your wedding dress in proportion to your body.

Be careful with strapless.

A petite woman may have to lift her arms to reach up to her new husband.

A cap sleeve gives the feeling of a strapless gown and also serves a practical purpose in holding the gown in place.

c. Large bust women

Off the shoulder gowns look wonderful on a full bust. It draws our attention upward, emphasizes the shoulders and minimizes the chest. Keep your skirt narrow. Wearing a full skirt will make you look large on top and bottom.

d. Bottom heavy

Women who are larger through their hips and buttocks should look for a wedding dress that focuses on their upper body preferably with a full skirt. Show your arms back and bust line. Corset style bodice with lacing will highlight your upper body. We want to draw attention away from your hips. Avoid pleats or gathered fabric around the waist.”

What are you planning to say to each other at the most important part of your wedding ceremony? Will you be traditional or will you option for something a bit more sincere, heartfelt and romantic for the exchange of your vows?

Getting married is about the union of two people who will make promises on their wedding day and the words you select will maximise the special bond that you want to make with each other in front of your family and friends.

There are certain prayers, vows and commitments by law that have to be said but adding extra special details to your vows will almost always work in your favour and make for a wonderful memory for you both.

Try using a thesaurus for more inspiring words to use as this will ensure that your vows are really individual for how you both feel towards one another at this critical time.

Talk to the vicar/registration representatives from your area with your ideas. Also, print out and give them a copy of your vows to ensure they can be checked at least 2 weeks in advance. This will avoid last minute changes and panic.

Another option is to add readings or poems to the ceremony. These can be read by you or your new groom or even a family member. Just make sure whoever is to read, is confident and will be able to speak clearly on the day. Don’t pressure them to learn it by heart as this can be daunting when standing up in front of a lot of people especially if they are not used to doing so.

Whatever you choose to say, those special wedding vows should come from your heart. It will create an amazing feeling within the room for you two and all your guests. Therefore, you should do everything to keep your promise and make the marriage work, no matter what trials and tribulations may come in your way. Remember that you are now with your spouse and have to live your life together as a married couple.

So many couples these days want to make their wedding ceremony as personalized as possible. And what better way to make a wedding ceremony your own than to write your own vows? While there is something to be said for the traditional nature of reciting vows dictated by any particular religion’s ceremony, writing your own wedding vows can be a moving and unifying experience.

Doing so can make the ceremony tailored perfectly to you as a couple, and will say only the things you feel are most truly important and relevant to say to one another. Thinking about getting started on writing your own wedding vows can be a stressful process, so this article will give you guidelines on where to begin putting pen to paper and writing down what is in your heart.

Start with just writing. Don’t think too hard about what you are writing. Take time to yourself in a quiet place where you can reflect on your relationship, your impending marriage and why you want to spend the rest of your life with this person. What makes them special? Why are they the one for you? Just brainstorm. Don’t worry about anything having any poetic nature or true sentimentality in the beginning-just get down into words all of the things you love about your partner and what makes you excited to spend the rest of your life with them.

Once you have a nice big list of things (and you should have a good sized list, otherwise you might want to think long and hard about what you are committing to!), have a talk with your fiancée about what kinds of vows you will both be writing. If he is writing something light hearted and funny and you want to write something incredibly sentimental and sappy, the feel of the ceremony might get thrown a little off kilter. Being on the same page about how you want to deliver your vows is very important.

Once you are both on the same page as far as the tone of your vows, pick out some of the most important and relevant things from the list your compiled earlier. Maybe you think it’s adorable that your beloved always wears socks, even in 100 degree heat. That is a sweet aspect to your relationship, perhaps, but maybe not the best thing to mention in wedding vows that are meant to be sentimental.

Be conscious of those attending your wedding, and try not to make your vows a 20 minute monologue each. Of course, it is your ceremony and if you want to have vows that lengthy, that is completely your decision. However, it might be difficult for your friends and family to sit patiently while you both speak at great length about your love for one another.

One good thing to keep in mind while you are writing: Think of your partner. Imagine their reaction to the words you have written and how they will react to hearing them said out loud in front of your loved ones. Keep their reaction respectfully in mind and speak from the heart and in no time at all you will have penned some vows that will speak perfectly to your relationship and hopeful future together.

Whether you are a bride, a bridesmaid, or the mother of the bride, you will likely be attending a bridal shower in the near future. Before you get started on the planning, though, there are some important things that you should know. Getting familiar with the proper etiquette of bridal showers in advance will help you to have a lovely event that everyone will enjoy.

The first thing to know is that a bridal shower is definitely a party that is all about giving gifts to the bride. From an etiquette point of view, what this means is that it is not appropriate for a bridal shower to be hosted by a bride’s mother or sisters, because it can look like they are grabbing for gifts of her behalf. A better choice for the host is one of the bridesmaids who is not a close relative of the bride’s. This does not mean that the bride’s family cannot contribute to the shower at all. For instance, if the bridesmaids all live in tiny apartments, the shower could be held at the mother of the bride’s home, but with the bridesmaids’ names on the invitations as the hosts.

An important thing that the bride should remember is that you cannot ask a friend to have a shower on your behalf. Planning a bridal shower is time consuming and expensive, and although one is usually organized by one or more of the bridesmaids, it is not one of their obligations. Chances are that one of your close friends will step up and offer to host a party for you anyway; just make sure that she does it willingly, not under pressure.

The guest list of a bridal shower should consist only of guests who are actually invited to the wedding. It is the height of rudeness to ask guests to come to a party and give you a gift without including them in the main event. The only possible exception to this is if you work in the type of office that has a cake for every imaginable event. If your co-workers want to get together and toast you before your wedding, that it their prerogative.

Traditional etiquette about shower gifts is that they should be some little item that the bride can use in her new home, or something fun for the honeymoon. In general, a shower gift should be less expensive than the wedding gift, although the trend in recent years has been towards more lavish shower gifts as well. If you are uncertain, you can always ask some of the other guests what type of gifts they are bringing to help you find a price point that will not look too extravagant nor too chintzy.

After the wedding, there is one final piece of etiquette to be observed: writing the thank you notes! It is the bride’s duty to handwrite a thoughtful note for all of her wedding gifts, from the most stunning piece of jewelry down to the lowliest potholder. And don’t put it off – this is a task that is easiest when it is tackled in the week after the shower. A good tip is to have someone make a list of the gift and the donor’s name during the shower.

The wedding invitation is one of the most important components which cannot be ignored or taken lightly. The right kind of wedding invitation should be selected for any weeding and people should exercise extra care and precaution while selecting a wedding invitation since this will have to be sent to all the guests who will be invited for the wedding. Once people see the wedding invitation, they will have a basic idea of what they can get to see at the time of the wedding. The theme of the wedding will have to be exhibited in the right manner in the wedding invitations which are being distributed to the guests.

A lot of people feel that elegant and good looking wedding invitations are extremely expensive. But it is also possible to get discount wedding invitations which are good looking and elegant at the same time. There are many departmental stores which have discount wedding invitations on sale. The Internet will also contain a wide variety of discount wedding invitations which will be able to fit into the budget allocated for the wedding.

There are certain guidelines and pointers which can be followed while selecting discount wedding invitations. The style of the discount wedding invitations is one of the most important aspects which should be checked since this should be in co-ordination with the basic theme which has been set for the wedding. The theme which has been selected for the wedding should be exhibited in an appropriate manner during the course of the wedding whether the wedding is being conducted in the church, on the beach, in the countryside or even in the garden of your home.

The colors which are being used while printing the discount wedding invitations should match the basic theme as well as the style of the wedding. The level of grandeur and formality of the wedding can also be reflected in the discount wedding invitations which are being distributed to the guests. The manner in which the discount wedding invitations are being designed will also be dependent on whether the wedding is a traditional wedding or a modern wedding.

Invitations for traditional weddings will contain the usual details of the wedding printed in a simple textual form. It will be folded in a simple manner. But the invitations which are being printed should be in co-ordination with the theme of the wedding. But a modern wedding invitation will look more stylish and elegant when compared to a traditional wedding invitation.

When you were planning your wedding chances are you never pictured having cupcakes instead of a something more traditional. While this may be a newer idea to some, many are finding that it is a very simple and fun option. But why would someone do this, you may ask. Let’s look at four advantages to having cupcakes at your wedding.

First of all, cupcakes are much easier to transport. Consider how most wedding cakes today have many different layers that are boxed separately and then put together at the wedding reception. Or, some bakeries layer the cake all at once and try to transport the entire thing to your wedding. In some cases, cake layers end up melted, dropped, and so on, which would ruin this fun part of the wedding.

Cupcakes however are generally boxed side by side and the boxes are full, leaving little room for the cupcakes to slide and get ruined. Because traditional wedding cakes take a great deal of time to assemble at the reception site, your baker will be charging top dollar for this additional work. Cupcakes, however, do not need to be “assembled.” This is much easier on your pocketbook.

The second advantage is that cupcakes are much, much easier to serve. Some reception halls actually charge money for cutting and serving cake but with a cupcakes this fee can be avoided. Without worrying about having to make perfect cuts, you can have a friend serve the cupcakes, or even have the guests serve themselves. This not only costs less, but takes the worry out of serving.

The third advantage of a cupcake wedding cake is the option of getting different flavors. With an actual wedding cake you can be very limited in this regard. However, with a cupcake wedding you have so many different options of flavors that it will be sure to match each of your guests own and unique tastes, leaving everyone with a happy and memorable experience.

The fourth advantage to having a cupcake wedding cake is the final result – the individual serving. Were you ever served a piece of wedding cake with a part of a decoration which you couldn’t identify? With a cupcake wedding cake, each serving is individually decorated. The result? Each guest is served a beautifully decorated piece of cake.

Bridal jewelry is of special importance to the bride, this jewelry will give her the memory of her being spiritually together with someone she loves. Whenever she touches this jewelry, it will surely bring forth many emotions related with it. No wonder every brides tries to find out some unique jewelry which can make her look more beautiful than ever.

Beautiful white bridal dress of the bride is can be complimented with pearls. Pearls, which are the most elegance and glow, can be ideal as one of contributors to bridal jewelry. If you are fond of combinations amongst jewelry, bridal jewelry can constitute diamonds and the pearls created in gold, provided the bridal dress has golden tinges. Overdoing gold would not be ideal for a white bridal dress.

Combination of pearls diamonds and other precious stones can make a uniquely colorful and expensive bridal jewelry. However, while creating this jewelry, care needs to be taken that the bridal dress compliments the jewelry. Bridal jewelry can be really cheap with pearls.

Pearls are nature’s gift to us, since these are created underwater; there is a very less percentage of pearls that are perfectly round. Pearls may come in many different yet attractive shapes and sizes. These pearls are available very much cheaper than the perfectly round ones.

The shapes that these pearls are available in are the oval ones, almost round ones, drop pearls – these are in a shape of a drop, buttons pearls and also most uniquely shaped pearls. Pearl jewelry from these pearls is quite often a lot more inexpensive than any other jewelry.

Online websites will help you find jewelry from uniquely shaped pearls. These pearls are often available in beautiful combinations and unbelievably beautiful designs. You will find these both affordable and unique. There are several different ornaments created from these pearls including the necklaces, earrings, bracelets, bangles.

Bridal jewelry can be created to be most exquisite and beautiful by using diamonds as a combination. You can also try making this jewelry using pure white metals like the silver, platinum and titanium, if you are not too fond of gold. White gold too is a beautiful looking metal. If you want you can choose pink gold for your diamonds and pearls. Each combination like metal, handmade pearls and diamonds should compliment each other.

Renewing your wedding vows is a very special way to celebrate your relationship, and if the first time around it was not quite what you wanted, now is your chance to put that right. Lots of couples use a big anniversary such as their 10th, 25th, 30th, 40th or 50th to renew their vows, and some couples renew their wedding vows every year.

First think about the type of ceremony that you would both want, and it has to be something that you will both be happy with, otherwise it goes against why you are renewing your vows in the first place. The beauty of vow renewals is that you can have any type of ceremony you want, you are already married so this is not a legal ceremony, instead this is a much more intimate celebration. Some couples have a religious ceremony while others have a friend conduct the renewal ceremony in a place that is special to them.

Next you have to plan the practical side of the celebrations, your budget is going to be a deciding factor and some couples find that they have more money than for their wedding, others find that they have less as their parents helped them. Either way it doesn’t matter as what is important is the love that you both share and the vows that you say to one another.

When you have your budget you will next need to find a venue and decide on a date, most couples try to find a date as close as possible to their wedding anniversary. Your venue can be anywhere, there are no rules to renewing your vows, you don’t have to have a big reception but you can if you want!

You will want to send out invitations to your wedding anniversary celebrations, possible wording for your invitations could be; Please join us as we celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary by renewing our vows, and then give the time and place. Or some couples have their children host the celebration, if this is the case then the wording for the invitation could be Sarah and Bob Smith request the honor of your presence at the vow renewal service of their parents, Jane and Brian Smith, and then give the time and the place.

You now have time to think about what you want to say in your new vows, again this is entirely up to you, there are no right or wrong vows, just make sure you give yourself plenty of time to think about them as this is what is going to take the time!
